IFA 2025: Eufy unveiled MarsWalker, a device that carries robotic vacuum cleaners up stairs

At the IFA show in Germany, Eufy announced several new devices, among which the MarsWalker stands out. This compact device can carry robotic vacuum cleaners up and down stairs, a major obstacle for such gadgets.

The company says MarsWalker automatically recognizes different types of stairs, including straight, L-shaped and U-shaped stairs. It carries the vacuum cleaner between floors and returns it to the base when needed. Eufy emphasizes that the solution provides “a truly touch-free cleaning experience throughout the entire home, avoiding the need to buy multiple vacuums for different floors.”

The device uses four control arms that adapt to the design of the stairs and a track system that provides a secure grip on each step. The design is engineered to minimize the risk of slipping.

There are limitations, however. First, the price has yet to be disclosed. If it turns out to be comparable to the cost of a robot vacuum cleaner, buying a second device may be a more sustainable solution for a home with multiple floors. Secondly, MarsWalker is compatible only with individual Eufy models and does not support third-party devices. The new product is scheduled for release in the first half of 2026.

Also unveiled at IFA was the new Omni S2 robot vacuum cleaner, which is fully compatible with MarsWalker. It features a scenting system and adaptive wheels to overcome obstacles such as thick carpets. It is scheduled to start selling in January 2026 at a price of $1,600.
