HMD Global unveiled the budget smartphone HMD Aura²

Performance and Software
The smartphone is powered by a UNISOC SC9863A processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. HMD uses Android 14 (Go edition), which makes for a smooth and efficient experience even on budget devices. While the specs aren’t the most powerful, the optimized software will allow you to comfortably use the smartphone for basic tasks, including watching videos.
Display and Multimedia
HMD Aura² features a 6.52-inch HD display (576 × 1280 pixels) with a refresh rate of 60Hz and brightness up to 460 nits. This will allow you to use the phone even in bright sunlight. I would have liked to see at least 90 Hz for smoother scrolling, but thanks to the absence of heavy animations in the stock interface, the operation remains stable.
So far, it’s not a problem.
Cameras and Sound
The smartphone features a 13MP main camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Despite the budget specs, the sample shots published by the company look decent. The device has also got a 3.5mm headphone jack, which will save users from having to buy expensive Bluetooth headphones.

Price and affordability
HMD Aura² is available in two colors – Shadow Black and Electric Purple. The device is priced at AU$169 (~$106 USD or Rs 9,225 Indian rupees). It is scheduled to launch on March 13.
