How to get the Ghost Medal in Super Mario RPG

The Ghost Medal can only be obtained after the player reaches Monstrotown. Upon entering the building to the right of the merchandise store, the player must turn off the mushroom light and get into bed. After doing so, three ghosts will appear around Mario and tell him the location of their flags. Collecting these flags will earn the player a Ghost Medal. The flags can be found in the following locations:
- The first flag can be found at the beginning of the game, in Mario’s house, by looking under the bed.
- The second one can be found in Rowland, behind the “Welcome” sign at the entrance to the town.
- The third flag can be found on Yo’ster Island by checking the “GOAL” sign at the end of the race track.
After all the flags have been collected, you must return to Monstrotown and go back to bed. Three ghosts will reappear and award the player with the Ghost Medal, which halves the damage they take.
