Nintendo continues to push the envelope on its mobile services. Following the launch of apps such as Nintendo Today! and the Nintendo Music service, as well as a number of mobile games including Fire Emblem Shadows, the company has unveiled a new app — Nintendo Store. It is already available to download on iOS and Android and is a redesigned version of the My Nintendo app first introduced in Japan in 2020.

Nintendo notes that the app will inform users of news related to games, events and sales. Notifications can also be set up to notify users of price drops on items on their wish list. If a user visits a Nintendo branded store or participates in Nintendo events, they can use the app to sign up and receive rewards.

One of the most interesting features was the display of time spent playing games on various Nintendo consoles, including the 3DS and Wii U. To do this, you need to link your Nintendo Network ID to your Nintendo Account. However, it’s worth noting that playtime data on these systems after February 2020 is not counted.
