Samsung has resumed the One UI 7 update after a glitch on the Galaxy S24

Samsung has restarted the rollout of the One UI 7 update, suspended earlier due to a bug that prevented Galaxy S24 users from unlocking their devices.

The problem first appeared to Galaxy S24 owners in South Korea. After installing One UI 7, based on Android 15, some users experienced an intermittent inability to unlock the smartphone. As a result, Samsung has temporarily halted the update on all models and in other regions to test and fix the issue.

As the company said in a comment to CNET, the update has now resumed. Samsung did not disclose details about the cause of the glitch.

One UI 7 includes a redesigned interface with enhanced support for artificial intelligence features. The update offers tools for smart video editing, message creation, and personalized recommendations such as suggestions for places to visit.

The updated shell began rolling out on April 7, first on the Galaxy S24 series devices, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. One UI 7 is part of Samsung’s broader strategy to integrate AI features into mobile devices.
