Samsung maintains its leadership in the gaming monitor market for the sixth consecutive year

Samsung continues to dominate the gaming display segment, solidifying its position as one of the most innovative monitor manufacturers in the world. The Odyssey and OLED monitor lines have been extremely successful, and new data confirms the company’s sustained leadership.

Samsung is No. 1 in the gaming monitor market by revenue

According to a fresh report by analyst firm International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung was ranked number one in terms of revenue in the global gaming monitors market in the fourth quarter of 2024. The company captured 21% of revenue share in this segment, confirming its reputation as the leader for the sixth consecutive year.

Leading the OLED monitor segment for the second consecutive year

Samsung also holds the number one position in the OLED monitor category, capturing 34.6% market share just two years after launching its first OLED monitor, the Odyssey OLED G9. Since then, the company has released numerous models, including the Odyssey Ark, OLED G6, OLED G8 and Smart Monitor M9.

New 2025 products are on the way

This year, Samsung unveiled updated versions of the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF), Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF), Odyssey G9, and announced its first autostereoscopic 3D monitor, the Odyssey 3D (G90XF). While the Odyssey OLED G8 is already available in many countries, the G6 will go on wider sale in the second half of 2025.
