Vivo V50 officially unveiled: updated design and 6000 mAh battery
By ForGeeks Vivo has officially unveiled the Vivo V50 smartphone. The new product has received several changes compared to its predecessor. Among the main improvements are a 6000 mAh battery with faster 90W wired charging and a modern look.

High-brightness display
The smartphone features a 6.77-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has a trendy quad-curved design with less pronounced curvature compared to the V40. The device also features Diamond Shield Glass for better drop resistance. The display has a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits.
Performance and memory
Vivo V50 gets a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which is paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. There is no memory expansion slot.
Cameras with Zeiss optics
Photographic capabilities are represented by three 50-megapixel cameras with Zeiss optics. The main sensor (23mm equivalent) is equipped with optical stabilization (OIS). There’s also a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
An autofocus camera is also available.
Software and Protection
The smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The manufacturer guarantees three major Android updates and four years of security updates. The device is IP68/69 water and dust resistant and has an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.
Colors and price
Vivo V50 is available in Rose Red, Starry Night and Titanium Grey colors. The smartphone is priced at Rs 34,999 ($403) for the 8/128GB version and Rs 40,999 ($472) for the top-end 12/512GB variant in India. Sales will start on February 25 via Vivo India’s official online store and partner retailers.
