Apple is prepping an updated MacBook Air in 13-inch and 15-inch versions. Apple will introduce new MacBook Air models with the M4 chip in the coming weeks, but no later than March 2025, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. That’s in line with last year’s schedule for the M3-powered MacBook Air, which came out in March 2024.

Although an exact announcement date has not yet been revealed, Gurman previously claimed that the new products could arrive within a few weeks. The MacBook Air was originally expected to be Apple’s first ironclad release in 2025, but that role is now likely to be filled by the iPhone SE 4, which could be unveiled on Wednesday.

Back in December, Apple accidentally confirmed the existence of the new MacBook Air. The macOS Sequoia 15.2 update revealed files related to the unannounced devices:
