Xbox will release Ara: History Untold in September

Ara: History Untold will be released on September 24, 2024, Xbox Game Studios has announced. The turn-based historical grand strategy game, being developed by Ashes of the Singularity studio — Oxide Games, will be released for Windows PC and Steam. As an Xbox game, it will be available on day one with PC Game Pass.

The game will be available on PC Game Pass.

According to the game’s official description, the game features «favorite mechanics of classic PC strategy games complemented by innovative gameplay such as a national crafting economy, real-time move execution, a non-linear tech tree and cloud-enabled synchronous/asynchronous multiplayer».

In addition, the game promises «an expansive and vivid experience that will take you across the entirety of the Empire, from exploring its very fringes to the daily lives of citizens». Oxide Games president Mark Meyer and Ara head Brian Stone unveiled the game during an appearance on the latest episode of the Official Xbox Podcast.
