Samsung has confirmed Galaxy AI integration in the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6

Samsung today confirmed that it’s incorporating Galaxy AI into its next generation of foldable devices, namely the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. The release of these smartphones is expected to take place in early July.
Samsung executive vice president and head of mobile R&D for the Mobile eXperience Business unit Won Joon Choi said the company plans to «further optimize Galaxy AI capabilities for future foldable devices». He said: «Our foldable devices represent the most versatile and flexible form factor in Samsung Galaxy, and when combined with Galaxy AI, these two complementary technologies together will open up all new possibilities».

Samsung wants to revolutionize the mobile experience «with a hybrid approach to artificial intelligence» which it believes «is the most practical and robust solution» to meet consumer needs. The hybrid idea is to provide users with «a balance between the instant responsiveness and added privacy assurance of artificial intelligence on the device and the versatility of cloud-based artificial intelligence, through open collaboration with industry-leading partners offering the various features they need for their day-to-day work».
A hybrid approach to artificial intelligence is a way to provide consumers with the flexibility to use it on their device.
Choy expects more and more mobile artificial intelligence features to be hosted on devices as the power of NPU continues to evolve «at an incredibly fast rate».
