Skyryse has officially announced its first production helicopter
The Skyryse company has unveiled the Skyryse One helicopter with innovative SkyOS control technology. The helicopter costs just $1.8 million, and by the way, it features a semi-autonomous control system that has resulted in a simplified cockpit.

The SkyOS operating system uses fly-by-wire technology, similar to drive-by-wire in cars. Instead of mechanical linkages, the functions of conventional controls are programmed directly into SkyOS. SkyOS is not a fully autopilot system; the human pilot still controls the helicopter with a joystick. The system automatically keeps the helicopter in a safe flight zone and provides a stable hover. Engine starts, takeoff and landing procedures are accomplished with simple swipes on the touch screens. If an engine failure is detected, SkyOS automatically enters autorotation mode. To be able to fly the Skyryse One, a standard private helicopter pilot’s license is sufficient.
