Xiaomi Mijia has launched a lightweight upright vacuum cleaner for 50 dollars

Xiaomi’s Mijia lineup has long been known for affordable and stylish home appliances, and this new product fully upholds that tradition. The company has released a new Mijia Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner upright vacuum cleaner priced at 359 yuan (about $50). Sales will start on December 8.
The vacuum cleaner features a 110,000-rpm high-speed motor that delivers up to 22,000 Pa of thrust and 50 AW of suction power — enough to collect dust, crumbs and pet hair from hard surfaces and hard-to-reach places.
Friendliness of use plays a decisive role in the unit. The main unit weighs just 860 grams. This makes it easy to push, pull or lift while cleaning.
Xiaomi bundles the model with two attachments. The first — a slim floor brush that goes under furniture, keeping a steady pull and preventing hair from winding up. The second — a versatile 2-in-1 crevice tool suitable for cleaning joints, keyboards, upholstery and car interiors. The tube detaches quickly for easy mode switching and storage.
The device runs for up to 40 minutes in standard mode. It’s powered by a four-cell 2000mAh battery pack. For more intensive cleaning, a high-power mode with up to 10 minutes of battery life is available.
The vacuum cleaner uses a USB Type-C port, so it can be charged with any suitable adapter. Xiaomi recommends laying the main unit horizontally while charging for safety.
The filtration system consists of five stages: a cyclone chamber, a steel micro screen, a front foam filter, a HEPA element, and a motor protection pad. According to Xiaomi, it retains up to 99.9% of particles 0.3 microns and larger, reducing the chance of secondary contamination. The 200ml transparent waste container and filters are rinseable — they need to be dried for 24 hours before reuse.
