In Russia, the average price of laptops has fallen – by 8% in six months

At the end of the first half of 2025, the average price of a laptop in Russia fell from 63.4 to 58.5 thousand rubles. This is reported by the group “M.Video-Eldorado” with reference to the results of market analysis. The decrease amounted to 8% and is due to the growing demand for more affordable devices and increased competition in the mass segment. In total, from January to June, Russians bought 1.6 million laptops worth 96.1 billion rubles.

Sales leaders in units – ASUS, Huawei and Unbranded

The largest brand by number of laptops sold was ASUS, with 16% of the market. The company led the way with a wide range of models, from low-cost office to gaming solutions. Its presence in all price categories helped the brand maintain its leadership position.

Huawei came in second with a 12% share. The Chinese manufacturer strengthened its position due to the optimal balance of price, features and design. The middle-price models are especially popular with customers – for work, study and everyday tasks.

The third position was taken by unbranded laptops (Unbranded) – 8% of the Russian market. These devices are chosen as a simple and affordable solution for basic tasks such as browsing, video chatting, and word processing.

The third position is occupied by unbranded laptops (Unbranded), which account for 8% of the Russian market.

Also in the top five were Lenovo (7%) and Apple (6%). Lenovo continues to be in demand due to its recognizability, reliability, and availability of models under 60,000 rubles. Apple, despite a smaller share in units, remains popular in the premium segment, especially with its MacBook Air and Pro lineup.

ASUS leads in revenue, with Huawei and Apple sharing second place

In monetary terms, ASUS also ranks first with a 19% share. The high result is due to strong sales of ROG and TUF gaming lines, where the average check is noticeably higher than the market.

Apple and Huawei are in second and third place, with 12% each. Apple’s share is traditionally high due to its premium segment and stable demand for MacBooks. Huawei remains competitive in the mid-range category, offering modern features at a reasonable price.

Fourth place went to MSI with a 7 percent share. The company focuses on gaming and professional solutions, providing a high average bill of goods at a relatively low sales volume.

Lenovo rounded out the top five with a 6% share, thanks to its stable popularity of all-in-one models in the mass segment and strong reputation.
