TikTok got the ability to record 30-minute videos

Social media user Matt Navarra discovered the ability to upload 30-minute videos to TikTok in a beta version of the app. TikTok initially gained popularity for its short videos, which are still popular today. The possible length of a video in TikTok was 15 seconds, then increased to a minute and 3 minutes. The maximum length of a video in TikTok has grown to 10 minutes, and 15-minute videos have already been tested.

It’s unclear whether the ability to upload videos up to 30 minutes long will remain as part of the beta test or become available to all users. In the Chinese version of TikTok (Douyin), that length of video has been available since 2022. Among other potential new features of TikTok’s functionality, the ability to create songs using artificial intelligence was recently spotted.
