Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is confirmed for launch on May 13th
By ForGeeks Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is officially announced and will hit the market on May 13, 2025. The device will feature a 200-megapixel main camera with an ISOCELL HP2 sensor, promising improved mobile photography capabilities.
At the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this year, this smartphone was unveiled, which will be the thinnest and lightest device from Samsung in years. It will be just 5.84mm thick and weigh around 162 grams. The body is made of titanium alloy with a ceramic back panel, and the bezels around the screen are only 1.32mm wide. The center selfie camera will be housed in a small hole.
Galaxy S25 Edge will run on One UI 7 based on Android 15 and will offer users Samsung Galaxy AI features like Audio Eraser and Auto Trim. The smartphone will be available in three colors: Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Icy Blue. Prices in Europe will start at €1,249 for the model with 256GB of storage. Pre-order is already open in the US with a $50 bonus from Samsung.
The Galaxy S25 Edge’s display promises brightness up to 2,600 nits and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Inside the device will be a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for the Galaxy, which runs on a 3nm process and can reach speeds of up to 4.47GHz. There’s also a wide vaporization chamber for temperature management.
Storage options will reach up to 512GB, but there are no plans for a 1TB model. Wireless charging may not be available, and the battery capacity is smaller compared to other S25 models, which could affect the device’s battery life. However, the S25 Edge will support seven years of software updates and standard connectivity options: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C 3.2 with IP protection.
Sales are expected to begin in the U.S. as early as May 30 with a limited run of 40,000 units.
