New data about the Redmi Turbo 5 smartphone has appeared online

A new insider from renowned whistleblower Digital Chat Station has revealed fresh details about the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 smartphone. According to the leak, the device will get a 6.5-inch flat LTPS display with 1.5K resolution, and a 7,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.

The device is expected to feature a 6.5-inch flat LTPS display with 1.5K resolution, and a 7,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.

The smartphone will feature an under-screen optical fingerprint scanner, a metal frame, and IP68 dust and water resistance. According to the source, Redmi has significantly improved the overall body and material specifications, paying special attention to the build quality and finish.

It was earlier reported that the company has accelerated the Turbo 5 series to strengthen its position in the mid-price segment. Informant Smart Pikachu claims that the device will be powered by a new MediaTek Dimensity processor, presumably the Dimensity 8500 Ultra. The same chip is rumored to appear in models like the Oppo Reno 15 Pro, Honor Power 2, and Realme Neo 8.

Earlier leaks pointed to a simplified rear camera design, a metal frame, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display. While a 9,000mAh+ battery was previously expected, the latest information confirms a 7,500mAh battery. Both leaks agree that the smartphone will support 100W charging and will get full IP68 water and dust resistance.

According to the latest reports, the Redmi Turbo 5 will be unveiled as early as November 2025, which is earlier than the originally planned date — the first quarter of 2026. An advanced version, the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, will arrive later — in the first half of 2026. For the global market, the device is expected to come out under the Poco brand as the Poco X8 Pro, which has already been spotted in European certification databases.
