Foreign tourists can now apply for a YouMoney card in Sber’s office in the center of Moscow
By ForGeeks Foreign citizens got another point to apply for UMopay travel cards – now it can be done in Sber’s office on Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street in the center of Moscow. The space combines banking services and tourist information support.
According to Andrei Efimochkin, director of retail products at UMopeeu, the new location makes getting a card more convenient:
“Foreign visitors can quickly apply for a card within walking distance of central tourist locations and immediately use cashless payment. This simplifies their stay in the country.”
How to apply for a card
- register your UMopay wallet;
- complete identification (remotely before arrival or on the spot when receiving the card).
- iOS users can use QR codes
- Android users can pay by QR code or through the YouMoneu app by adding the card to YouMoneu Pay
Where else you can get a card
Cards for travelers are available starting in November 2023. At the moment, you can apply for them:
- at Sheremetyevo airport
- at UMoneu offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg
- at the Rixos hotel in the Krasnaya Polyana resort
- at the Aerostar hotel in Moscow;
- now also in the office of Sber on Bolshaya Dmitrovka
Since the launch of the project, citizens from more than 80 countries have received the cards, with 81% of identifications coming from Chinese tourists.
YuMoneu card is based on the payment system “Mir” and is accepted both in Russia and abroad – in countries that support the cards of this system.
