DOOGEE with AI slogan at the Communications 2025 exhibition

This year, China’s DOOGEE took part with a booth for the first time in the «Communications-2025» exhibition, which took place at the capital’s IEC «Expocentre» from April 22 to 25, presenting a wide range of its products, including devices with artificial intelligence functions. The company has been on the market since 2013 and specializes in the production of secure phones, smartphones, tablets and smart gadgets. DOOGEE is a subsidiary of a large Chinese concern KVD International Group, which has been manufacturing and servicing telecommunication equipment since 2002. It is headquartered in Shenzhen, China. DOOGEE solutions are available in more than 80 countries. It already has over 300 of its own patents, so the company deservedly holds the first place in the segment of secure phones. In 2023, DOOGEE’s sales volume exceeded 15 million devices with a total value of $27.6 million, of which about 3 million pieces were exactly protected smartphones.

One of the most interesting smartphones presented at DOOGEE’s booth is the V Max series, which is designed primarily for travelers and extreme sports enthusiasts.

The flagship V Max Pro and V Max Plus models, featuring  6.58-inch Full HD display with 120Hz refresh rate, have a big brother V Max Play — the world’s first rugged smartphone with built-in projector, powerful camping lantern and signal light. The screen of the V Max Play is slightly larger — 6.78-inch, but also with Full HD resolution with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Unlike the V Max Pro and V Max Plus, which feature a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor coupled with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage, the V Max Play sports a 4nm MediaTek 24M (MT7300) processor with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.

The three devices share a 22,000mAh battery, 33W fast charging, support for 5G mobile networks and GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou satellite navigation systems. Unlike the V Max Pro and V Max Plus, equipped with cable reverse 2.5-watt charging, the novelty has a reverse wireless charging power of 15 watts, which allows you to quickly recharge other gadgets if necessary. But the main draw of the V Max Play — is the 480p LED projector with auto-focus for projecting pictures and videos onto any surface, as well as the dual camping lighting system it inherits from the junior model in the V Max S lineup.

The camera systems on all V Maxs are different, too. The V Max Play has a triple main camera with a 108 MP main module, an 8 MP wide-angle macro lens, a 20 MP night vision camera and a 32 MP front camera. The V Max Plus differs from it with a 200 MP main module, while the V Max  — has a 16 MP front camera.

All of the rugged smartphones in the series run Android 14 and feature artificial intelligence-based functionality for photo and video processing, and meet IP68 water and dust resistance and MIL STD 810H military-grade drop protection standards. All three models support dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4/5 GHz) and Bluetooth version 5.2 (V Max Play is version 5.4) for connecting to other devices. With dimensions of about 178×83×27 mm, the weight of these devices exceeds half a kilogram, which is not surprising with such a powerful battery.
