Apple has launched a new Snapshot page – favorites in one place
By ForGeeks Apple has quietly unveiled a new web page called Snapshot on Apple that compiles the best celebrity content from Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Podcasts. It’s a media hub where you can quickly find content about your favorite musicians, actors, and athletes all in one place.
Famous in Focus: Music, Movies and Podcasts
The snapshot.apple.com page features a horizontal carousel list of celebrities, including Billy Ilish, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, Brady Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Lionel Messi, Stephen Curry, Serena Williams and others. There are also picks for the bands Coldplay and BTS.
Each section contains brief information about the celebrity, as well as direct links to related content in Apple’s ecosystem:
- tracks and albums on Apple Music
- movies, TV series and documentaries in Apple TV+
- guest episodes and interviews on Apple Podcasts
The goal of the page is to bring together disparate data on popular personalities into a single space. As the motto on the site states: «Your favorites – at a glance.»
No search and no official announcement yet
The interface of the new page is minimalistic for now, with no search or other navigation features. Apple has yet to make an official announcement about the launch and has not promoted the project through its channels.
The appearance of the address snapshot.apple.com suggests that this may be just the beginning. Perhaps in the future, the company will integrate the platform deeper into its services or make it a part of iOS.
