McDonald’s and Capcom have launched a Street Fighter collaboration in Japan

022

McDonald’s and Capcom’s Street Fighter 2 collaboration will launch on October 22.

McDonald’s Japan and Capcom have teamed up to release a line of burgers Street Burgers inspired by the characters of Street Fighter 6. The promotion launches on October 22, and three new sandwiches – one each in honor of Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li – will appear on the menu.

What’s on the menu at Street Burgers

The Ryu burger includes a patty with egg, teriyaki sauce and roasted garlic mayo. The Chun-Li option is fried chicken with sweet-and-sour mayo, while the Kenna burger is a triple cheeseburger Torichi -the designers’ idea is that the melted cheese symbolizes the fighter’s golden hair.

Chun-Li vs. Smile Guile

Ken vs. Vega Smile (aka M. Bison Burger)

Besides burgers, the menu will feature McFizz and McFloat carbonated apple juice-based drinks, a specialty condiment for fries and Double Cheese Sausage McMuffin.

Special content and Street Fighter-inspired design

The campaign is accompanied by a series of animated videos in the spirit of Super Street Fighter 2 -with pixelated graphics featuring Akuma throwing a head of roasted garlic at Ryu and Gail attacking Chun-Li with a “wave” of mayo.
