Minisforum unveiled a Ryzen 7 8840U tablet with a “cyber sports” screen – V3

Minisforum has announced the V3 tablet, which, in addition to its basic functions, can be used as a laptop or an external monitor for gaming consoles. The new product is powered by a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor and offers some noteworthy specs.

The device is housed in a magnesium alloy chassis and features a touchscreen display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 165Hz. The tablet’s matrix has 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage and backlight brightness reaches 500 nits. The V3 also supports a proprietary stylus that recognizes 4,096 pressure levels.

The device’s hardware platform includes an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor with integrated Radeon 780M graphics, 32GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and 2TB of storage. The device also includes an XDNA neural processor (16 tops). The processor can operate in three TDP modes: economical (15W), balanced (15-28W) and performance (28W). Cooling is provided by two fans and four copper heat pipes.
The tablet has a battery capacity of 50.82Wh and a power supply of 65W. The interface set includes two USB 4 Type-C ports, an SD card slot, and a Type-C connector with Vlink (DP-in) support. With the help of the latter, the tablet can serve as an external display for Minisforum devices and various game consoles. The manufacturer has chosen Windows 11 Pro as the operating system.
The Minisforum V3 launch date and price will be announced in late March 2024.
