Xiaomi 15 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite chip unveiled
By ForGeeks Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi 15 Pro, a flagship smartphone with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and improved specs. The new 15 Pro offers significant improvements over its predecessor, including a brighter display, redesigned camera system and a larger capacity battery.

Display and Design
Xiaomi 15 Pro features a 6.73-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz. Thanks to the new M9 material, the screen is capable of reaching a maximum brightness of 3,200 nits, making it one of the brightest displays on the market. The smartphone’s design includes thinner bezels and micro curved corners. Xiaomi uses the new Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 scratch-resistant Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 to protect the display.

Cameras and Photography
The back of the Xiaomi 15 Pro houses a triple camera, co-developed with Leica and supporting the new AISP 2.0 system for enhanced computational photography:
- Main camera: 50 MP with OmniVision Light Fusion 900 sensor (1/1.31″) and 23mm equivalent focal length.
- Periscopic Camera: 50 MP (IMX858) with 5x optical zoom, which also supports telemacro photography.
- Ultra Wide Camera: 50 MP with an equivalent focal length of 14mm.

Battery and Charging
Xiaomi 15 Pro gets a 6,100 mAh battery and supports fast charging – 90W wired and 50W wireless – to quickly restore the charge even with heavy usage of the device.
Software and HyperOS 2
The smartphone runs on Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 shell, offering an optimized user interface and improved features over previous versions of MIUI.
Prices and Options
Xiaomi 15 Pro is available in Grey, White and Green colors, as well as a premium Rock Silver version with a 3D water ripple effect. The 12/256GB storage model costs 5,299 yuan (about $742), the 16/512GB model costs 5,799 yuan ($812), and the version with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage will cost 6,499 yuan ($910).
