Vivo has unveiled the Y500 Pro – a smartphone with a 200MP camera and a 7000mAh battery
Vivo has officially unveiled the new Y500 Pro smartphone —an update to the Y400 Pro that combines improvements in some aspects and unexpected simplifications in others.
The main upgrade is performance: the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, which is an improved version of the Dimensity 7300 chip with a 100MHz increase in clock speed. RAM is now up to 12GB — that’s more than the previous Y400 Pro offered.
It’s not without compromises, however. The new device uses slower UFS 2.2 flash memory instead of the predecessor’s UFS 3.1.

The smartphone gets a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Diamond Shield glass protection. The panel became a little smaller than the last model (6.77 inches), and the body — slightly heavier. At the same time, the novelty has acquired increased durability: vivo Y500 Pro meets IP68 and IP69 standards, and also has a «national certificate of reliability» — first in the industry.
Battery life has been significantly improved: battery capacity has increased by 22% to 7,000 mAh while maintaining 90W fast charging.
The camera has also undergone a major change. It now uses a 200-megapixel main sensor with a large 1/1.56-inch size. The front camera remains the same — 32 MP with an aperture of f/2.5.

vivo Y500 Pro will be available in four colors: Auspicious Cloud (white), Light Green, Soft Powder (pink) and Titanium Black. The smartphone is offered in four configurations:— 8/128GB — 1,799 yuan (≈ €218 / ₹22,400)— 8/256GB — 1,999 yuan (≈ €242 / ₹24,900)— 12/256GB — 2,299 yuan (≈ €280 / ₹28,600)— 12/512GB — 2,599 yuan (≈ €315 / ₹32,300)
