Oppo A38: leaked specs and renders

Oppo is working on a budget mid-range smartphone called the A38. Images have leaked online, along with key specifications, according to which the phone will feature a dual-camera setup and an aesthetically pleasing back panel, typical of other recent Oppo A series models, while the front panel will have a water-drop-shaped cutout for the camera.

On the front, there will be a 6.56-inch LCD display with 720p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The chipset is supposed to be the Helio G80. It’s built on a 12nm process, and Oppo will place 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage next to it.

The back will house a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens, but the report doesn’t specify whether it will be for depth or macro photography. Inside the «waterdrop» cutout will be a 5MP camera with an f/2.2.

The Oppo A38 is rumored to get a 5,000mAh battery, USB-C charging port, IP54 protection and ColorOS 13 on top of Android 13. The phone will be launched next month in Europe at a price of €159.
