Honor Magic 7 Lite: leaked specs

The Honor Magic 7 series, launched earlier this year in China, may be joined by a budget model, the Magic 7 Lite. Speculation about the device’s release came after it appeared in Google’s Play Supported Devices and Play Console databases.

It was expected that Honor would release the Magic 7 Lite as a successor to the Magic 6 Lite, but the new model may not be as unique as fans of the brand had hoped. The device has been registered under the model number HNBRP-Q1, which is the same as the Honor X9c model that was recently released in Malaysia.

Although Play Console explicitly calls this device the Magic 7 Lite, it’s not much different from the Honor X9c in terms of specs. According to the database, the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor with Adreno 619 graphics gas pedal and will get 12GB of RAM. The information about the built-in storage and cameras remains unknown for now.

The Magic 7 Lite also has the same screen resolution as the Honor X9c (1224×2700), which confirms the rebranding version. If the models are indeed identical, the Magic 7 Lite will likely feature a 6,600mAh battery, a 6.78-inch curved OLED display, and a rugged body with drop protection up to 2.2 meters.

Since the Honor X9c has recently hit the market, we can assume that the Magic 7 Lite is its regional version with a new name. However, it is possible that Honor is planning to make some changes for this Lite model. The final details are likely to be revealed in the official announcement.
