Google Pixel 10 will come out later – not until August at the earliest

Google has pushed back the announcement and launch date for its Pixel 10 series smartphones, according to recent reports. The devices were originally expected to arrive in June or July, but now the most likely presentation date is said to be August 20, with sales starting on August 28.
Announcement and pre-order expected in August
According to sources close to Google’s plans, the company was originally going to unveil the Pixel 10 on the same timeline as the Pixel 9 series last year. Back then, the announcement took place on August 13, and a similar schedule was planned for the new models. However, the company subsequently changed the schedule for unknown reasons.

Updates indicate that the launch event for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold will take place on August 20, coinciding with the start of pre-order acceptance. The retail launch is expected to take place on August 28. This information is based on several internal sources and, while accurate, may be adjusted closer to the release date, given that Google is still testing the devices for possible software and hardware flaws.

Schedule and pricing changes are possible
The practice of rescheduling is not new for Google. For example, the Pixel 9a model was announced in March without an exact launch date, although as it later turned out, the company was preparing a pre-order for the release date. Similar delays are possible with the Pixel 10 series.
The Pixel 9 series devices didn’t go on sale at the same time last year: The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL became available nine days after the announcement, while the Pixel 9 Pro and foldable Pixel 9 Pro Fold didn’t arrive until September. This time around, Google expects to launch all four models at the same time.

Foreseeable prices and competition in the market
According to unconfirmed reports, the devices are priced as follows: the base Pixel 10 is $799, the Pixel 10 Pro is $999, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL is $1199. The foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold can start at the $1600 mark. That’s $100 cheaper than the previous Pixel 9 Pro Fold model and likely cheaper than the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Despite the visual similarities to the Pixel 9 series and minimal technical changes, Google is rumored to be considering a price change. That said, there are no official specs or confirmed details on internal improvements yet.
