Wacom introduces three new Cintiq displays with Pro Pen 3 support
By ForGeeks Wacom has announced an updated line of Cintiq pen displays, including the Cintiq 16, Cintiq 24, and Cintiq 24 Touch. All three devices feature a thinner body, smaller bezels and support for the Pro Pen 3.
Refreshed design and improved ergonomics
The new models are lighter and more compact for easy portability and mobility. The Cintiq 16 features built-in folding feet for a 20-degree tilt angle. The Cintiq 24 and Cintiq 24 Touch have an adjustable stand with an extended viewing angle range. It can also be purchased separately for the junior version.
The pen displays support the Pro Pen 3, the successor to the Pro Pen 2. The device offers a 12ms response time, 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity, support for tilt up to 60 degrees, three customizable buttons, and the ability to change grips, nibs, and weights. No power is required – the pen is battery-free, making it easy to use.
Display Characteristics and Touch Features
All three displays feature 2.5K resolution matrices. The Cintiq 16 offers a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, while the 23.8-inch models offer 2560 × 1440 pixels. The refresh rate is 60Hz. Anti-reflective glass is used, creating the feeling of drawing on paper and reducing reflections. Color rendering is close to real life, according to Wacom.
Cintiq 24 Touch features touch support. It recognizes up to 10 simultaneous touches, allowing you to use gestures to zoom, scroll, and rotate. This makes working with graphics more intuitive and speeds up your workflow.
Connectivity and Accessibility
There are USB-C, HDMI and USB-A ports for connectivity. The Cintiq 16 connects to your computer with a single USB-C cable for both image transfer and power. The other models use separate cables.
Sales of the updated lineup will begin in the summer of 2025. Recommended retail prices are Cintiq 16 for $699.95, Cintiq 24 for $1299.95, and Cintiq 24 Touch for $1499.95.
