Nvidia RTX 5060 is 25% faster than RTX 4060 with frame generation

Nvidia has given a limited number of publications access to the test driver for the RTX 5060 graphics card. As part of a strict preview, the first benchmarks of the new mid-range model on the Blackwell architecture have appeared online. In games with support for frame generation, the RTX 5060 shows up to 25% increase over the RTX 4060, but lags behind the RTX 5060 Ti by 15%.
Restricted Preview from Nvidia
According to GameStar Tech, the company only allowed select media to test the RTX 5060. Journalists couldn’t choose games, settings, or graphics cards to compare — everything was pre-approved. The benchmarks used 1080p resolution, maximum graphics settings, ray tracing and DLSS in quality mode. The games compared were: Avowed, Doom: The Dark Ages, Marvel Rivals, Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy.
RTX 5060 performance
Japanese publication Ascii has published a comparative analysis of the RTX 5060 against previous generations of graphics cards: the RTX 2060, RTX 3060, RTX 4060, as well as the RTX 5060 Ti (8GB and 16GB). Testing was performed with frame generation enabled only: FSR 3 for RTX 2060 and RTX 3060, DLSS 3 for the newer models.
Analyzing the RTX 5060 against the RTX 5060 Ti (8GB and 16GB) and RTX 4060 Ti (8GB and 16GB).
Average results:
- +25% performance for the RTX 5060 over the RTX 4060
- -15% lag over RTX 5060 Ti (8GB)
- RTX 5060 noticeably outperforms RTX 3060 and RTX 2060 in modern games
Important: frame generation does not reflect native performance, so actual FPS without DLSS may vary.
