According to the filing, TSMC’s new 3nm process is 18% faster with the same power consumption. It also delivers a 32% reduction in power consumption at the same speed and a 60% increase in logic density. MediaTek will start producing its 3nm chips based on TSMC’s process for smartphones, tablets, smart cars and other devices starting in the second half of 2024.
