In Escape From Tarkov appeared skins on weapons – for the first time in the history of the game

Escape From Tarkov, known for its hardcore realism and complete lack of “live-service” tinsel, is suddenly changing course. For the first time since release, custom weapon skins are now available, thanks to a new battle pass in the EFT Arena spin-off.

While other shooters have long since implemented appearance and paid pass systems, Battlestate Games has kept a low profile. But with the launch of the first battle pass in Escape From Tarkov Arena, the developers have opened the door to cosmetics – while still retaining the spirit and atmosphere of the original.

The EFT Arena Battle Pass brings rewards to the main game

EFT Arena is a multiplayer offshoot of the original Tarkov, where players battle in short matches inspired by classic modes from arena shooters. Despite the faster paced action, the project retains Tarkov’s characteristic realistic weapons, equipment, and visual style.

  • Available for free to all Arena owners
  • Includes over 90 awards
  • Contains currency, crates, masks, goggles, armor
  • And – most importantly – camouflages for weapons in Escape From Tarkov

Yes, you heard right: all cosmetic items obtained through the Arena battle pass carry over into the main EFT. This means that even if you don’t play Arena on a regular basis, completing the pass will give you unique loot in the main game.

Free: Tarkov-style skins

Worth noting: Battlestate emphasizes that cosmetics don’t ruin the atmosphere. All camouflage and appearance elements are Tarkov-inspired – no cartoonish repaints, superhero collaborations, or acidic animations. Weapons look realistic, as they should in a world where every shot can be your last.

In addition, cosmetics don’t disappear at a vyp – unlocked items will remain in your Escape From Tarkov account forever.

Season Length and What’s Next

The Season 0 Battle Pass will be active for approximately two months. The developers have promised to announce the exact end date in advance so that players have time to get the rewards they want.

Based on the success of the launch, we can expect future seasons to also bring cosmetics to the core EFT, giving players more motivation to check out Arena, even if they prefer hardcore raids in Tarkov.
