Leak: Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition will be released this year

Ubisoft is set to release an updated edition of Beyond Good and Evil to coincide with the game’s 20th anniversary later this year. According to Twitter user @MACOS380, the Entertainment Software Rating Board of America recently declassified the unannounced Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition.

The game will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. «It’s an action-adventure game in which players will take on the role of a reporter accompanied by a pig-like companion investigating a conspiracy on the planet Hillis» — according to the product description.

Ubisoft has been planning a sequel to 2003’s Beyond Good and Evil for two decades. It first showed a trailer for Beyond Good & Evil 2 in 2008, but there was nearly a decade of silence after that, before the publisher revealed at E3 2017 that the game would take the form of a prequel.

The following month, Beyond Good & Evil and Rayman creator Michel Ancel announced he was leaving Ubisoft Montpellier to focus on a new career.
