Street Fighter 6’s second DLC character, A.K.I., will be available in September

The second DLC character for Street Fighter 6, A.K.I., will appear in the game next month. A.K.I. will be unlocked on September 27 for players with the Year 1 Character Pass.

According to Capcom, players will be able to try out A.K.I. for one hour on a Rental Fighter ticket, which can be obtained through the in-game Fighting Pass. Like all other DLC characters, A.K.I. will be present in all three modes — World Tour, Fighting Ground and Battle Hub.

A.K.I. will be available in all three modes.

According to Capcom, feeding on her master’s orders, she injects venom into enemies who dare come within striking distance, all while smiling. A.K.I. owes much of its venomous character and inspiration to its host F.A.N.G, who first appeared in Street Fighter V.

A.K.I.’s poisonous nature and inspiration is the same as the F.A.N.G host that first appeared in Street Fighter V.

Year 1 Character Pass, included with the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of Street Fighter 6, costs $29.99 separately. Following the July release of Street Fighter 6’s first DLC character, Rashid, A.K.I. will become the game’s 20th playable fighter. She will be followed by Ed in early winter 2024, and next spring — Akuma.

A.K.I. will be the 20th playable fighter in the game.
