The first Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay has appeared

The first gameplay footage of Mortal Kombat 1 has surfaced. The footage below was shown during today’s Summer Game Fest live show. Among other features, the trailer shows off Kameo Fighters, a roster of partnered characters who can assist during matches.
The game, announced last month and set for release on Sept. 19, «will introduce the reborn Mortal Kombat universe created by fire god Liu Kang, with reimagined versions of iconic characters as they have never been before».

NetherRealm is developing PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game and is overseeing development of PC and Nintendo Switch versions, handled by QLOC and Shiver Entertainment / Saber Interactive, respectively. Players who purchase the premium Mortal Kombat 1 or Kollector’s Edition will get early access to the game starting September 14.
