Tencent will revive the military shooter series Delta Force

Tencent will revive the long-running Delta Force series of military first-person shooters. The now-defunct NovaLogic, the company that created Delta Force, released nine installments of the series from 1998 until 2009, when Delta Force: Xtreme 2 was released, but the company went out of business in 2016 and the assets were acquired by THQ Nordic.

The company has released a teaser trailer for the new installment in the series ahead of a full presentation at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 22. Delta Force, being developed at Tencent’s Timi Studio Group, will be a cross-platform game for consoles, PC and mobile devices.

Producer Shadow Guo told IGN that the game will feature a campaign mode based on Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down and a large-scale multiplayer PvP mode.
