Details about Grand Theft Auto VI have been revealed by Digital Foundry

Ray tracing is also used to create reflections on transparent surfaces such as car windows, mirrors and sunglasses, while screen reflections (SSR) are used for rough surfaces. The game introduces a new strand-based hair rendering system, clothing animations that move independently, and realistic sweat rendering. Compared to Red Dead Redemption 2, the characters look less cartoonish. Even the beer in the game looks believable: you can see the bubbles in the bottle in the trailer.
Rockstar has confirmed that the trailer was shot entirely on the game engine for the PS5, combining gameplay and cut-scenes, in keeping with their real-time rendering approach. Digital Foundry considers it unlikely that the game will appear on Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch 2, but various improvements may be available on PC or PS5 Pro in the future.
