Sony has released a new look at Until Dawn.
The movie has the same tone and the same atmosphere [of the video game], but it expands the universe. There’s a “mechanism” in the movie where everything starts over and they can try again. Every time they come back to life, it’s like they’re in a new genre of horror
David F. Sandberg

Until Dawn is about a group of friends who meet in the same remote valley where one of them went missing a year earlier. The group hopes to find answers, but instead find themselves caught up in a nightmarish dream as a masked killer stalks and kills them one by one. In a video game, the characters’ choices lead to their survival or death, leading to different endings. In the movie, the characters are stuck in a time loop where they wake up after their death and start over. The only way to escape is to survive until dawn. It’s definitely an interesting technique that makes up for the game’s variation, which is why so many people liked it.
An interesting twist.
The cast of Until Dawn includes Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Odessa A’zion, Ji-Young Yu, Belmont Cameli and Maya Mitchell. Peter Stormare, who played the role of a psychiatrist named Dr. Hill in the video game, will also star in the film.
