Star Fox creator’s new game for Switch has acquired a publisher

Omega 6 The Video Game, the new game from the artist of the original Star Fox and F-Zero, Takaya Imamura, has secured a publisher and is due out on Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2024. Imamura, who left Nintendo in 2021 after three decades working on Star Fox, led the art direction and graphics for the game, which is an adaptation of the debut manga «Omega 6».

Omega 6 The Video Game —a text adventure game in a 16-bit style — is in development at Happymeal and Pleocene, and will be published by Embracer-owned Clear River Games, along with publishing partner City Connection.

The game will be accompanied by an original soundtrack by Japanese composer and sound designer Shinobu Amayake, a former Nintendo employee who is best known for composing the music for Stunt Race FX. Omega 6 The Video Game will debut on the show floor of the Tokyo Game Show, which runs from September 21 to 24.

According to Clear River Games, «Omega 6 The Video Game features a new storyline in which players will embark on an intergalactic journey to find a new home for the human race».
