No Man’s Sky has received an update

No Man’s Sky was once an object of derision and a symbol of a drawn-out development whose creators made excessive promises to players. In the nine years since its release, however, Hello Games has managed to rehabilitate its space game through updates and major additions — it now truly lives up to what Sean Murray’s team announced in the mid-2010s. And the studio has no plans to stop with the progress it’s made.

The Breach update was recently released. It’s essentially a continuation of the Voyagers update, which was released in August. Now players can explore the wrecks of derelict ships and mine the resources needed to build special space transportation modules.

In addition, the game has launched a expedition to a certain Abandoned Universe. The event is timed to coincide with Halloween, so it’s hard to predict what nightmares await users in the long-forgotten realms of space.

“This year has been a crazy year for the No Man’s Sky team. We’re incredibly proud that nine years after release we’re still able to work on the game we all love so much. We’re really pleased to see how many people are enjoying the Voyagers update – it inspires us. We can’t wait to let you know what lies ahead, — reports Sean Murray, head of Hello Games.”
