Microsoft has raised the price of games to $80

Microsoft has increased retail prices on Xbox Series X/S consoles. The changes took effect worldwide on May 1. The Series S increased by $80 ($6 520 rubles) and the Series X by $100 ($8 150 rubles), and can now be purchased for $380-$430 and $550-$730 ($30 970-35 000 rubles and $44 800-59 490 rubles), respectively, depending on configuration and memory capacity.
What’s more, the price of some games from Microsoft’s internal studios scheduled for release in the 2025 holiday season and beyond will increase from $70 to $80 (from 5 700 rubles to 6 520 rubles). This will affect, for example, future games in the Call of Duty series. The company explained this decision by “bringing prices in line with the market situation”. The cost of Game Pass subscription will remain the same.
