Final Fantasy 16: PlatinumGames and Kingdom Hearts 4 studios developed one part each

PlatinumGames and the studio that created Kingdom Hearts 4 have announced that they were involved in the development of Final Fantasy 16. The news was revealed during a live broadcast of the Final Fantasy 16 Pre-Launch Celebration held at Summer Game Fest.

PlatinumGames, the studio behind Kingdom Hearts 4, announced that they were involved in the development of Final Fantasy 16.

In his video message, PlatinumGames president and CEO Atsushi Inaba said:

PlatinumGames was awarded the opportunity to develop part of the game. We’d never had any experience working on a game in this vein, so it certainly took us by surprise when we were approached. But everyone in the development department, including me, was very excited about the opportunity, saying things like that. So we happily accepted the opportunity and made it a reality.
