The first season of Diablo 4 begins on July 20
By ForGeeks Blizzard has announced the release of Diablo 4 Season 1: Season of the Malignant. The Season of the Malignant combat pass will begin July 20 and will consist of 90 levels, 27 free and 63 premium levels. Players who purchase the deluxe or max edition of Diablo 4 will be able to use the free battle pass at the beginning of the season.
Players can also skip combat levels, which will cost 200 Platinum for each level skipped. A new blog post details how the season pass characters will work. «To participate in seasons, you must create a new character in the seasonal realm. You do not need to purchase a Battle Pass or any add-ons to play seasonal content, but you must complete the campaign on Eternal or Seasonal Realm with at least one character».

In Season 1, Diablo 4 will add a new level of enemies —Malignant Monsters. These new Malignant Monsters can be found in the new dungeon equivalent of the season —Malignant Tunnels. «Scour this dank tunnel system for the catalyst of Malignant Monsters and, if you dare, go head-to-head with Varshawn the Absorbed, the new boss» — says Blizzard.
