CD Projekt RED plans to release major releases more often

CD Projekt RED said it plans to release big games more often. During Tuesday’s quarterly report, a spokesperson for the studio was asked if it has the ability to work on multiple big projects at the same time.

A spokesperson for the studio was asked if it has the ability to work on multiple big projects at the same time.

«We were already working on two projects at the same time when we created [Cyberpunk 2077 DLC] Phantom Liberty. It was a game-sized project with almost 300 people working on it. And at the same time we were already working on Polaris, so we have experience working on more than one project»,” said CEO Michał Nowakowski.

And we’ve already worked on Polaris, so we have experience working on more than one project.

Continuing quote from CD Projekt RED’s CEO:

«We are also currently working on several projects. Cyberpunk 2 is being developed in Boston, Polaris is being developed primarily here in Europe. Obviously we have other projects with other teams like Project Sirius.
And there’s a remake of The Witcher 1 being made in collaboration with Canis Majoris, so you can expect us to release more games and increase the frequency of launches. Though I obviously won’t comment on what the time gaps between releases will be»

.

Excluding add-ons, the company’s flagship releases to date are «The Witcher» (2007), »The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings» (2011), «The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt» (2015) and Cyberpunk 2077 (2020).
