Honor has unveiled the Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design flagship
Honor has officially unveiled the Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design smartphone in China at the same time as the Magic 8 Pro Air. The new product joins the premium Magic 8 lineup, which already includes the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, which debuted last October.
Like previous models in the RSR Porsche Design series, the new Magic 8 gets a recognizable design inspired by Porsche supercars. The smartphone features a nano-ceramic back panel with a claimed hardness of 8.5 on the Mohs scale. Honor also notes that the device is about 10 percent lighter than its predecessor, and the camera module is styled after the Matrix headlights of classic Porsche models.

Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design gets a 6.71-inch LTPO AMOLED display with four-way curvature, 1.5K resolution and adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. The screen supports Dolby Vision, 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and delivers peak HDR brightness up to 6000 nits. Protection is provided by Giant Rhino Glass.
The smartphone is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It’s available in configurations up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device runs Android 16 with Magic UI 10.0, a proprietary Magic UI shell, and an advanced set of AI features.
Cameras — one of the key features of the model. The main module is a 50-megapixel 1/1.3″ sensor with f/1.6 aperture and optical stabilization. The ultra-wide-angle camera also received a resolution of 50 MP, a field of view of 122 ° and support for macro shooting. An impressive 200-megapixel 1/1.4″ sensor with f/2.6, OIS and 3.7x optical zoom is responsible for the zoom.

Honor claims the smartphone is the first in the world to achieve CIPA 6.5 stabilization certification. It also features the proprietary AiMAGE color engine and support for Nox’s external 200mm telephoto lens.

The 50 MP front camera is housed in an elongated notch and is complemented by a 3D depth sensor for secure face unlocking.
Powering the device is a 7200mAh battery with support for ultra-fast charging 120W via cable and 80W wirelessly. Other specs include — 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IR port, IP68 / IP69 / IP69K protection, 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC. The smartphone weighs 239g with a thickness of 8.45mm.


Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design is available in Moonstone and Slate Gray colors. The version with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at 7,999 yuan (about $1,150), while the top-of-the-line 24GB / 1TB configuration is — 8,999 yuan (about $1,290).
