Xiaomi is planning to bring the Super Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000, previously introduced in China, to the global market. This compact device with magnetic wireless charging support will be a great accessory for MagSafe-enabled devices, including iPhones. The aluminum body is just 8.7mm thick, while the battery has a 5,000mAh capacity thanks to the use of a high-density lithium-cobalt-oxide battery. Xiaomi claims that after 300 charging cycles, the battery retains more than 80% of its original capacity.
The device supports both wireless and wired charging. The USB-C port provides up to 22.5W of power output, while the wireless pad operates at 5W, 7.5W, 10W and 15W levels. Judging from the images, the battery will be available in four colors: black, gold, purple, and blue.
Additional features include a dual NTC thermal sensor system that monitors temperature 12,000 times per minute. Inside the case are 17 N52-grade magnets that generate up to 10N of magnetic force for secure attachment to MagSafe-enabled devices.
