Samsung Project Moohan XR headset premiere date revealed

A Korean publication has reported the release date and start of sales for Samsung’s Project Moohan mixed reality headset, which could be a competitor to Apple’s Vision Pro. The company has previously shown off prototypes of the device, but there’s still no information on a full-fledged launch.

According to Newspin, Samsung’s Android XR headset will be unveiled on September 29 at the Unpacked event, with sales set to start on October 13. The headset was first reported in 2023, and was announced in 2024 under the codename Project Moohan.
The headset has already appeared in a video review. It’s based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor and supposedly features micro-OLED displays. Gemini’s neural network is expected to play an important role in its operation.

In addition, journalists have reported that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 clamshells in July, but the exact date of their premiere remains unknown.
