Samsung unveils new TV with Google Cast

Samsung has announced a new Crystal UHD TV series HU8000F with Google Cast support, but the novelty is not intended for mass consumers. This model is designed specifically for the hospitality industry and will be available in six sizes.
Crystal UHD HU8000F will be officially unveiled at HITEC 2025, which will be held from June 16 to 19 in Indianapolis. The TV features a 4K VA LCD panel with direct backlighting, HDR10 and HDR10+ support, 60Hz refresh rate and AI upscaling to 4K. Sound is provided by 20W stereo speakers and Adaptive Sound, Object Tracking Sound Lite, and Q-Symphony technologies.
The device is powered by the Crystal Processor 4K processor and Tizen 9.0 OS with One UI. Samsung promises seven generations of OS updates. In addition to Samsung TV Plus, the TV has Google Cast support, allowing you to stream content from Android and iOS devices. AirPlay 2, Alexa, Bixby, and Google Assistant are also available.

Despite its extensive functionality, the TV will not go on retail sale. It’s intended exclusively for hotels, resorts and restaurants. Samsung has already begun updating existing models in the HBU8000 series, adding support for Google Cast without interrupting service. Such updates have already been rolled out to The Apurva Kempinski Bali and Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan, for example.
The TV supports LYNK Cloud and SmartThings Pro, allowing for centralized device management and display of targeted ads. AI Energy Mode helps reduce power consumption. Interfaces include three HDMI (one with eARC), one USB 2.0, a 1Gbps Ethernet port, and an RF connector.

According to Hoon Chun, executive vice president of Samsung’s Visual Display Division, the new HU8000F series combines picture quality, state-of-the-art streaming technology and user-friendly operation to set a new standard for hotel entertainment.
