Laptop sales in Russia grew significantly

According to the report, in the first six months of 2024, 1.4 million laptops were sold for a total of 94 billion rubles, which is 14% and 30% more than in the same period in 2023. Models with 16-inch screens are the most popular, followed by 15- to 16-inch models, and in third place — 13.5- to 15.3-inch.

As for brands, ASUS, HUAWEI, MSI, Lenovo, Honor and Apple laptops are the most popular. However, demand for devices from domestic brands such as Osio, iRu, Irbis and Echips increased by 47% in monetary terms compared to the same period last year.

Also, manufacturers are constantly improving the “iron” component of laptops – they last longer on battery life, are more powerful, have a number of AI-functions that are built into the operating system Windows 11. All these factors have a positive impact on the domestic market of portable computers,” said Sergei Zaraysky, head of Computers and Tablets at M.Video-Eldorado.
