Xiaomi unveiled the Mijia Essence Wash washer and dryer
By ForGeeks Xiaomi has launched a new Xiaomi Mijia Essence Wash smart washer-dryer that can wash up to 10 kilograms of laundry.
The new Mijia washer and dryer utilizes Essence fast washing technology, which can complete the washing process in less than 36 minutes. Compared to conventional washing machines, the new technology reduces washing time by 45%, while saving about 33% water and 40% electricity.

When it comes to the drying function, the new machine is equipped with a high-precision sensor that monitors temperature and drying time in real time, stopping the process when clothes are already dry. It also supports low-temperature drying with temperature control from 55°C to 65°C, preventing damage to clothes. The 14.5m/s airflow speed ensures fast drying.

Users can schedule washing programs and control the machine through the Mijia app. It supports XiaoAi voice control, connectivity with other AIoT devices, and voice reminders through the XiaoAi speaker. The machine also supports online OTA updates.

Xiaomi Mijia Essence Wash has an ultra-thin body and a large drum with a diameter of 525mm. It supports high-temperature drum cleaning at 95°C and is equipped with a direct-drive (DD) motor, making it more stable and quieter in operation.
The price of the new washing machine is about $300 (Rmb27 060).
