The much-anticipated annual WWDC 2024 developer presentation will take place from June 10-14. As is tradition, Apple will unveil the ins and outs of the new versions of its operating systems so that app and software developers have time to prepare and customize their products for the final version of iOS and iPadOS.

When will the presentation take place?

As mentioned, the presentation will begin on June 10, 21:00 Moscow time. WWDC 2024 will start with a general keynote, which is what most Apple device users will be interested in. The rest of the days from June 10 to June 14 will be a lot of different events, which are already more specialized. Nevertheless, you can still watch them.

What will be shown at WWDC 2024?

At the presentation, Apple will show off innovations to iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS. It could be something small and more technical, or it could be grounded. There’s speculation that the new versions of the operating systems will get a lot of chips that will be based on artificial intelligence. After all, we cannot ignore the trends of the last couple of years. And major competitors, such as Samsung, have already started implementing AI in their devices.

Should we expect any devices at the show? It’s unlikely; the iPhone will be unveiled in the fall, as will the company’s new laptops and computers. The iPad has just recently been updated — in early May. And a new version of Apple VisionPro is unlikely to be expected. At most what news we will get about mixed reality glasses is new countries of official distribution of the product. Some are betting on the arrival of a new generation of iPhone SE, but there have been no definite rumors about it.

All that will be written here is based on rumors. However, a big emphasis will be on AI. For example, it’s speculated that Siri will learn to interact with different apps, making it an even more useful voice assistant, as well as interacting with neural networks. In Notes, you can listen to a short paraphrase of your notes so you don’t have to re-read the whole text, and Apple Music will create playlists based on your interests using the same AI. The new version of the Mac operating system will have similar features.

Now on to the really important update that many have been waiting for with bated breath. Calculator! This app that many people use will finally be added to tablets. But beyond that, the calculator should get a promising update on smartphones and computers. It will probably be integrated into notes and add more units of measurement. So, at the very least, WWDC 2024 is worth watching because of this update.
