Xiaomi unveiled the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro smart air conditioner with adaptive airflow

Xiaomi continues to rethink its approach to home cooling. Following last year’s air conditioner with “wall-mounted” airflow, the company has released an updated model – the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro. The novelty has received adaptive airflow, AI control, dual human tracking radar and high energy efficiency. The device is priced at 3,999 yuan (~$550).

Airflow that senses humans

The main feature of the model is the upward airflow distributed across the walls and ceiling, creating a more comfortable cooling experience without direct blowing. In the Pro version, Xiaomi has added double mmWave radar, which tracks human presence in real time.

The system is able to detect where you are and either direct the airflow in your direction for quick cooling, or pull it away to avoid the unpleasant cold. If no one is in the room, the unit automatically goes into energy-saving mode and resumes operation when you return.

The system can detect where you are and either direct the airflow to your side for quick cooling or pull it away to avoid unpleasant cold.

Thanks to Lingyun AI algorithms and cloud-based scene analytics, the air conditioner can save up to 361 kWh per year, equivalent to about 216 yuan (~$30) in energy savings.
